Product Description

This PA6 Nylon Hollow Wall Expandable Wing Anchor Kit is a medium-duty fastening solution engineered for shelf brackets, storage racks, and wall-mounted shelving systems on plasterboard, drywall, and hollow brick substrates. Each anchor includes an 8mm diameter nylon expanding wing plug factory-matched with an M5 x 50mm zinc-plated self-tapping screw, providing reliable holding power for everyday shelving applications.

The installation follows the proven hollow wall anchoring principle: drill an 8mm hole at each shelf bracket mounting position, insert the nylon plug until the flange is flush with the wall surface, align the shelf bracket, and drive the M5 screw through the bracket into the plug. As the screw advances, it compresses the nylon body, triggering the internal folding wings to expand outward behind the wall cavity. These wings spread to form a large rear bearing surface, creating a positive mechanical lock against the back of the plasterboard or hollow brick that distributes the shelf load over a much wider area than simple friction-based plugs. The 50mm extended plug body provides a deep anchoring zone suitable for walls with cavities up to 25mm.

Manufactured from high-toughness nylon with excellent aging and corrosion resistance, the plug body is completely immune to rust, moisture absorption, and environmental degradation. The zinc-plated steel screw provides dependable fastening strength with atmospheric corrosion protection. This combination ensures the shelf remains securely anchored through years of daily loading and unloading without any deterioration in holding performance, making it ideal for kitchen shelving, pantry racks, and garage storage systems.
