Product Description

This PA6 Nylon Hollow Wall Anchor is specifically designed for lightweight ceiling-mounted fixtures such as LED downlights, ceiling lamps, and small pendant lights on plasterboard and gypsum board surfaces. Each set includes a 5mm diameter nylon expanding wing plug pre-matched with an M4 x 45mm zinc-plated self-tapping screw, providing a complete ready-to-use fastening solution for overhead installations.

The installation follows the hollow wall anchoring principle: drill a 5mm hole through the ceiling plasterboard, insert the nylon plug until the flange sits flush with the ceiling surface, position the light fixture mounting bracket, and drive the M4 screw upward into the plug. As the screw advances, the nylon body is compressed, triggering the internal wings to fold outward and spread behind the plasterboard surface. This wing expansion creates a positive mechanical lock against the rear side of the board, distributing the fixture load across a wide rear contact area rather than relying solely on hole-wall friction. The nylon plug body is naturally non-conductive, providing essential electrical insulation safety for ceiling light installations where wiring is routed through the mounting point.

The nylon material offers excellent toughness and aging resistance, maintaining its mechanical grip over years of ceiling installation without becoming brittle, cracking, or loosening.
