The Ceiling Overhead Winged Nylon Expansion Anchor is specifically engineered for upward overhead installation into concrete ceilings. The anchor features an enhanced collar grip ring and a slightly flared wing profile that provides immediate passive retention in the drill hole after hammer insertion, preventing the anchor from dropping out before the screw can be driven in.

The side wing deploys when the screw is driven upward, forming a barb lock in the concrete ceiling substrate that resists both gravity pull and vibration from ceiling-mounted equipment such as light fixtures, ceiling fans, smoke detectors, and HVAC diffusers. The pre-alignment collar accepts 2-3 pre-turns of the screw for single-unit overhead handling.

Molded from high-toughness nylon PA6, the anchor remains permanently rust-free with acid and alkali resistance for reliable performance in ceiling environments. The collar design includes a slightly enlarged flange that prevents over-insertion into the ceiling hole, ensuring consistent embedment depth across multiple mounting points.
